Who doesn’t know about Virustotal?, a free online virus and malware scan that works every detail of your file.
A lot of us are fond of updating our desktop, softwares, icons, freebies that are soak around different websites without taking into consideration of the word “RISK”.
So before extracting your newly downloaded file, you might as well have it check first before enjoying your new found freebie.
How does virus total work?, just simply UPLOAD your downloaded file and click send file. wait for a few minutes and it will be scanned. It will also list down the different anti-virus that found the virus or malware install in the file.
It may be not the best that works with viruses, but a prevention is better than having an infected file around your PC.
Virus total can be used to scan the most suspicious files in our system… and its great to hear that it can scan from multiple engines! :D
actually even McAfee has Online Scan too, it can scan your whole hard drive, or your hard drive that you want to scan via online.
Kaspersky used to have online scan but,lately, it wasn't working for me. i don't know if they still do the online service until now..
