How to Disable the Zoom Level Option in Internet Explorer

One of my friend wrote asking me how to disable the zoom feature (using CTRL + mouse scroll) in Internet Explorer, as the zoom level in Internet Explorer changes when the CTRL key is accidentally pressed when scrolling a webpage using mouse. Sometimes this does happen to me as well, and the only workaround that I know is to disable the zoom level feature altogether. This also prevents you from changing the zoom level via the View menu in Internet Explorer. If you don’t use the zoom feature in IE, go ahead with this registry edit.

Disabling the Zoom Level Feature in Internet Explorer

Start Regedit.exe and navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Zoom

If the Zoom key doesn’t exist by default, create one manually.
Create a new DWORD (32 bit) value named ZoomDisabled
Double-click ZoomDisabled and set its data to 1
Exit the Registry Editor.

To automate the above, download iezoom.zip and run disable-iezoom.reg file. To enable the zoom feature if you need it later, run enable-iezoom.reg.

How to Change Drive Letter and Customize

When you are using your computer and you are bored with all that drives like C : drive , D: drive , etc. it will be awesome dont you all think i think you might also like earlier Articles on windows and its Solutions and on Software's I think you all like them.

Then you open the Computer window, the drive-letter for disk drives appear after the drive description, such as:

Local Disk (C:)

Using the utility discussed in this page, you can change how the drive-letters are shown in Computer.

[DriveLetterView] Utility for Windows Vista

  1. Download DriveLetterView.zip.
  2. Save the file to your Desktop
  3. Extract the archive to a folder
  4. Double-click DriveLetterView.exe to run it
  5. Select the appropriate option from the list, and click Apply
  6. Click Start, click Computer.
  7. When the Computer window opens, press {F5} to refresh the view.

This utility runs in Windows Vista systems only.

GTalk Tips and Tricks / ShortcutsI think many of the user an visitor of my site might be knowing the google messenger which is called  GTalk (Google Talk) officially released by google . it good simple and lighter it is just about 1 or 2 MB but it is great i too use it and it is too simple to use but today i will make it more simple to you to use by giving some shortcuts.

Here are some Keyboard Shorcuts :


CTRL + Mousewheel up/down: Change the font size in a conversation window.
CTRL + E: Center text
CTRL + R: Right justify text
CTRL + L or CTRL+J: Left justify text
F9: Open Gmail to send an email to the person you talk to
F11: Start a call
F12: Stop the current call
ESC: Close the current window
Tab – Switches to next opened gtalk window. (same effect with Ctrl+tab and Shift+tab)
Shift + Tab – The same thing does that Tab but in reverse.
Ctrl + Shift + L – Switch between points, numbers, letters, capital letters, roman numbers and capital roman numbers

Bold Text : Use asterix before and after the text to make it bold. Like *hello* will make it hello.

Italic Text : Use underscores before and after the text to make it italic. Like _hello_ will make it hello.

Want to leave blank message : Just Press Shift + Enter together and meassage box will become big then leave shift and Just press Enter and the blank message will be received by your friend.

CREATING PARAGRAPH INDENTATION:

There are three main ways of creating paragraph indentation:

1. One method is to create an empty, completely transparent image with a height of 1 pixel and a width of about 40 to 70 pixels (depending on how wide you want your indentation), anchor the image at the beginning of each paragraph, and the text will wrap around the image creating an indentation. It's too much work for me.

2. You can also create an indentation using the <SPACER> tag, but keep in mind, this tag is recognized by Netscape 3.0 and 4.0, but not by any version of Internet Explorer to date.

Use the HORIZONTAL SIZE attribute of the <SPACER> tag to create a paragraph indentation. For instance, to get a 50 pixel horizontal indentation before a line of text, your HTML should look like this:

3. The quickest way to create paragraph indentation - and the method recognized by all browsers - is to use a series of non-breaking spaces. HTML ignores extra white space within text. A browser will recognize the first space after a character, but any white space after is ignored. However, you can use a non-breaking space (&nbsp;), or a series of non-breaking spaces, to put extra white space within, or at the beginning or end of a text string.

For example, adding 6 non-breaking spaces at the beginning of the text string will indent the following sentence by 6 character spaces:

This text has an indent of 6 non-breaking spaces.

SPACING ABOVE AND BELOW TEXT:

There are two ways to create space above or below text:

1. You can use the VERTICAL SIZE attribute of the <SPACER> tag to create space above text. For instance, to get a 30 pixels of space above text, your HTML should look like this:

2. The cheater's way to include space above or below text (and the one method recognized by all browsers) is to just add some blank lines. Adding a series of paragraph breaks will not work (i.e. <P> <P> <P> <P> <P> <P>), but add a non-breaking space in between each paragraph break, and you have a very simple way of adding space above or below text:

SPACING AROUND IMAGES:

Using HSPACE (horizontal space) and VSPACE (vertical space) within the IMG SRC tag will give you horizontal and vertical padding around an image. For example, the following with give you 10 pixels above, below, and on each side of your image:
